Q: Am I entitled to free technical support?
Yes we have and will continue to provide free technical support
for all of our products.
Q: Who do
I register with? What's the process?
You can register with
us at this site or with most of the specialist handheld software sites
on the internet. Some sites which carry our products include Handango.com,
PalmGear.com and PocketGear.com.
If you register through
this site then you will receive a registration key for your product
immediately via email.
If you register through
another site then the process is follows: As soon as the registration
is complete you will receive an email from the site confirming the
registration and you will also receive an Extension Key which can be
entered into the product to extend the trial period by ten days. It
then normally takes about a day for the registration details to arrive
here and for us to process the registration and send you a Permanent
Registration Key. The permanent key can then be entered to enable permanent
registration of the software.
Q: Is it
safe to register with a credit card via the Internet?
Credit card fraud, if
it occurs, is usually in the form of small regular transactions and
almost never in the form of large transactions.
We have been supplying
handheld software over the internet since 1998 and in this time we
have never heard of an instance of credit card fraud occuring to any
of our customers,
Q: How do
I get a 'registered' version of the program?
There is no such
thing as a registered or unregistered version of our programs - the program
is unlocked when the registration key is entered via the registration
screen in the program. There should be no need to download or reinstall
the program, entering the permanent registration key is all that is required. If
you have any version of our software installed on your organiser, entering
the key will unlock it. You should then be able to install new versions
and it will always stay registered and unlocked.
Q: My registration
key isn't accepted?
Very occasionally
registration keys do not work when first entered into the program. This
is almost always to do with not having the correct username to generate
a registration key from. If this happens please contact
us and we'll send you an updated key as soon as possible. Details
of what to do if this occurs are included in the 'official' registration
email that we send to you.
Q:
I am a registered user and my device was lost/stolen/broken etc. How
do I get a new or updated key? Is there a charge?
The registration
key system is designed to prevent wholesale copying of the program,
not to make life difficult in any way for owners of the product. If
you require a new or updated registration key we're generally happy
to send them to anyone that's a registered user of the program. This
is a trust thing and so far the policy hasn't been abused. Your registration
details are kept here securely (and not sold to anyone) so you can
always get in touch with us if you need help.
Q:
Is there a return policy?
Products may be refunded
if they fail to operate, are ordered twice by mistake, if they cannot
be registered etc. Refunds are made at our discretion, but we have
never turned down a legitimate refund request.'
Q:
Can I transfer my license between the Palm / Pocket PC versions
of CityTime?
All of our upgrades
have been free for new versions on any platform but we do not offer
free upgrades or crossgrades between say the Palm version of CityTime
and the Smartphone version of CityTime.
The reason for this is that the development work required to create
software for another platform is, to all intents, the same as that required
to create the software initially.
